"Water Wars"
"Anita Mann"
On my first Level II Fieldwork, I was a part of a fairly small team
at a SNF. Every so often, I would leave my clipboard in the therapy
office, so I would not have to carry it while pushing a wheelchair or
holding a gait belt, etc. My co-workers must have caught on to this habit,
because I began to see mysterious markings show up on my
clipboard. One day, I looked at my clipboard, and a client's name had been
added to my list. The client's name was "Anita Mann", and a note was written
out to the side "evaluate with Josh at 10:30". I did not pick up on the joke, so at
10:30 I asked Josh if he was ready to look over Anita Mann's chart. He started
laughing uncontrollably, and I had no clue why! He then told me to say
the name a little more slowly to understand. I finally realized I was stating,
"I need a man". The joke made our whole team's day a little brighter!
